Test Facility Hire
Specialist facilities for accurate, repeatable NVH testing.
Alongside our regular NVH testing, development and consultancy work,
AVA Consulting makes its specialist test facilities and equipment
available for short-term hire.
From quiet subjective vehicle evaluations through to controlled
acoustic measurements and development testing, our facilities can
support automotive, EV, powertrain and component programmes.
AVA Test Facilities
Specialist test and laboratory areas
Maximum 4WD hub dynamometer capacity
High-speed testing capability
Flexible Test Capability
Controlled environments for vehicle, powertrain and component development.
Whether you require a quiet environment for subjective assessment,
accurate noise measurement to an ISO standard, hub dynamometer
testing or a dedicated space for rig work, AVA can provide the
equipment and workspace required.
Technician and engineering support can also be provided where required.
Test Cells & Laboratory

Capability
Component & NVH Testing
Hub Dynamometers
2WD & 4WD vehicle testing without tyre noise.
1500kW
Maximum 4WD capacity
Vehicle & powertrain testing
Suitable for complete vehicle and powertrain development programmes.
High power and speed
Up to 1500kW 4WD capability with vehicle speeds exceeding 200mph.
Motoring capability
Supports run-down and zero-load operating conditions.
Vehicle remains suspension-mounted
No traditional vehicle strapping is required, allowing the vehicle
to move naturally on its suspension.
Improved repeatability
Removing tyre noise and slip provides cleaner, more repeatable
NVH measurements.
NVH
Vehicle Sound Recording
Vehicle Sound Recording
Capture vehicle sound accurately, on-road or under controlled conditions.
AVA can support high-quality vehicle sound recording for objective
analysis, subjective evaluation, benchmarking and sound quality
development.
Using specialist binaural recording systems, microphones,
accelerometers and NVH acquisition equipment, recordings can be
captured from the driver’s position, passenger compartment,
exterior measurement positions or directly around individual
vehicle systems.
Interior vehicle sound recording
Exterior and operating sound
Sound quality benchmarking
EV tonal and high-frequency analysis
Binaural recordings for subjective evaluation
Correlation with vibration and operating data
Workshop Facilities
Vehicle preparation, build and teardown on site.
Our workshop allows vehicles and test systems to be prepared close
to the test cells, reducing downtime between test configurations.
2-post vehicle lift
Dedicated build and teardown area
Experienced technicians available
